Our proposal
“IT IS ONLY THROUGH COMMITMENT AND BY LIVING EXPERIENCES THAT WE CAN BUILD A MORE HUMAN CULTURE.”
It consists of an independent, private and non-profit initiative promoting and ensuring ―from a responsible, solid and permanent frame― to boost the links between the cities as suburbs and the natural environment we are in (the city centre). It is the same from the rural environment to a national and international level (we are an open and collaborative project).

Some investigation, reflection, training and artistic transformation activity programmes are being carried out, thus establishing a dialogue with the community we belong to. The creators and experts involved in Traductores del Viento’s project introduce the beginning and the organisational process from aspiration through the so-called ACT OF CREATING, SHARING KNOWLEDGE and THE VALUE OF HUMAN AFFECTION. We reduce the distance between us in our society, whether urban or rural, and every creative, critical thinking and outdoors activity.
We understand the need of making culture collective so citizens can experience and be an active part of cultural life beyond enjoyment or knowledge acquisition, which are some inalienable rights.
For this reason, from Traductores del Viento we want to boost some processes involving citizen participation, as well as the sharing of both proposals and experiences.
Traductores del Viento boosts network construction. That is why we are part of CUBO VERDE (Network for Art Spaces in the Countryside and Rural Spaces) from the beginning.
We are united with the Centre for Art and Nature “Cerro Gallinero” Hoyocasero in Ávila.
Our activity in the short to medium term
From January 2020, we have been working to recover, set up and improvement of Bustarviejo’s ancient train station’s rooms. And this requires a huge effort.
The place’s rural environment provides the silence required to reflect (personally and collectively), the methodological exchange of ideas, artistic creation and specific programmes that give visibility to the works made or shown by the artists in Traductores del Viento as a result of it.
We organise encounters, conferences, workshops, residences, exhibitions and some other activities from various kinds.

The “Espacio” is being equiped little by little with some adequate spaces for creation in various disciplines, for knowledge exchange and for reflecting about human beings’ relationship with ourselves and with nature.
Arts create a culture of peace, non-violence and bringing out the best in every human being; this is one of our main goals.
Artist and theorists from aesthetics, critical thinking, environment, education and health participate in this athenaeum we are buil, thus boosting knowledge exchange with each other, with visitors and with the growing community (Circulo de Amigos).
Traductores del Viento promotes and interacts by creating links and contacts with centres, institutions, public and private initiatives, educational programmes and networking projects. Afterwards we make known our productions, experiences and the results for our works and studies carried out through the year by travelling exhibitions, ceremonies, conferences, encounters or posts.
